The 100 Families Initiative is a community-wide movement to strengthen families. Your Support Team includes a family advocate and trusted providers who work together to help your family reach your goals.
Does the 100 Families Initiative directly pay bills (utilities, rent...) ? ​
No, 100 Families is a network of different agencies and providers. While family advocates typically do not have funding to pay your bills, they work hard to find resources in the community and utilize all members of the alliance to locate options to help you meet your goals.
How do I get help or become a participant?​
You can get started by contacting the coordinator for your area or filling out an enrollment form.
Is 100 Families for me?
Target participants are parents (custodial or noncustodial) or caregivers of children under 18, or expectant parents in need. If this does not apply to you, you can call 211 or go to findhelp.org for additional resources.
What happens if/when I give the advocates my info?
Your information is put in a secure, HIPAA compliant system so that an action plan can be developed to help you in all areas of crisis. This prevents you having to present the same documents and applications over and over again to access services. You provide consent for access to your information.
Do I have to pay to enroll in 100 Families?
It does not cost you anything to enroll in 100 Families. We help you manage and understand any fees related to accessing other services as part of your action plan.
Does 100 Families make money off of me?
No, 100 Families is a network of agencies and providers. Your family advocate is funded through private and federal grants.
